Ibadan bring past, present and future together for a sentimental release.
Jerome Sydenham flexes his A&R muscles once again by bringing three unique tracks all together under one roof for Ibadans’s latest release.
Young Greek talent, Quell, has been rubbing shoulders with Ibadan for quite some time now. ‘Alsos’, however, this is his solo Ibadan debut. An absolutely beautiful and soothing track with a tamed flute melody and sumptuous bassline.
‘Inceptive’, from Nick Dunton and the late Richard Polson (RIP) is a hand-picked favorite of Jerome’s resurrected for all those that need to know. This is more than just another track, but a piece of Jerome and the spirit of Ibadan’s history.
New York run Central Park records, was one of the seminal New York Deep House labels that helped to shape an era. One of Jerome’s favorites ‘Cafe Sol (Para Carolina)’ gets the remix treatment from the man himself, creating an equally as comforting vibe with the piano chords as the original.
