Scottish producer/keyboard player, Vince Watson, beautifully merges techno and house and on his first full length player for Ibadan Records.
Watson's career in dance music was launched just as acid house broke in the UK in '88. It was then that he started buying Electronic Music and the scene was set for what was to be his introduction to techno. After a number of years spent studying electronics and MIDI, Watson found his first record deal in 1995 through Dave Angel's Rotation imprint. By 1997, his musical style had evolved considerably and a partnership was born with Alola Records' Omid "16b" Nourizadeh. After a couple of 12" singles he released his debut LP 'Biologique' in 1999. At this point he had discovered the distinct styles of house and techno and was set to create his very own hybrid of both genres. In addition he has recorded tracks for his own label Bio as well as Tronic, Superbra, Native and Symbolism. Ibadan is very proud to release our own configuration of Watson's second album "Moments in Time" complete with bonus cuts for our North American and Japanese release.
"Moments in Time" is timeless collection of soulful tech house tracks is loaded with shimmering synths, tight percussive elements and ecstatic melodies. Watson also goes for deeper grooves and funky flavour on "Silhouettes" and "Reflexions". Sublime, intense and emotional.
