The Chicago trio that put raw Funk, Soul and Jazz into House return on Ibadan.
Herb Lawson, Byron Byrke and Byron Stingily combined to play guitar, keyboards and vocals respectively, forming one of the most successful Vocal House groups of all time. Initially produced by Marshall Jefferson, this particular release sees David Morales manning the controls to produce the classy, 'My Piece Of Heaven'.
As the title may suggest, 'My Piece of Heaven (Demo Dub)', Byron Stingily's graceful vocals are left out of this particular release. Lawson and Burke use this opportunity to take center stage, firstly with Lawson riding the bass up and down on a multiple occasion and Burke with his own dedicated keyboard solo. Just in case you play it too much and wear it out, the same track is pressed up on the other side. Only the combination of Ibadan, Ten City and the 1990s could you get away with that one.
Remix and additional production by Joe Claussell
Producer: David Morales
